Carroll Clocks Another Easy Sub-4 Mile

Mark Carroll’s build-up to the European indoor championships continued this week with another excellent victory over the mile distance. Running in an indoor meet in Florida he had a comfortable win over former Leevale club mate Ken Nason. At the Purple Tiger Invite in the US this weekend, Leevale’s Jason Foolkes (right) was ninth in the 3,000m with a time of 9:01.80, while clubmate David Brosnan (far right) of Iona College was third in the 800m, clocking 1:51.86, with schoolmate Vinney Mulvey taking fifth in the 3k in 8:26.49.
