Brian Murphy, one of five Leevale runners competing at the international match in Derby, made a quick return to winning ways, taking the under 23 400m with a time of 47.80.
Darren O’Donovan, just beaten in the national 100m, was second in the junior 200m with a time of 22.22.

There were several excellent performances at the Celtic Games in Tullamore on Saturday, with Kate Fitzgerald again in winning form in the under 15 girls shot putt.  Kate took the lead with her first throw and held on for another great win to conclude a great season for her.
