The Leevale Men’s Junior Team won their 9th consecutive National Cross-Country title today in Bree, Co. Wicklow (Results). Led by Barry Egan in 2nd place, the team scored 32 points, finishing well ahead of Togher for the second year running. Brian Keane, still recovering from a chest infection was ninth, Paul Carroll tenth, Ronan Crowley eleventh, and Mark Cotter fifteenth. Leevale have now won every National Junior Cross Country title in the ’90s. For a list of all of these scorers click here. In the Senior Men’s race, Billy O’Rourke finished first for Leevale in 28th place.
