| These days there is as much activity by Irish athletes in the United States as there is here at home. Over the weekend there was another big representation by Irish runners at various events in the US. At the Iona Meet of Champions Enda Johnson (Brown University), one of the top juniors in recent times, finished second in a time of 24:53, with Vinny Mulvey (Iona) fourth (24:58), and Leevale’s Barry Egan (Iona) eleventh (25:25). Iona had to settle for second place in the team event behind Dartmouth. |
