 Once again the sun shone for the Evening Echo Ladies Mini Marathon, making for a very pleasant occasion for over 3,000 women of all ages as they ran, jogged or walked the streets of Cork today. Ann Keenan Buckley from Laois won in a time of 27:32, over a minute ahead of Mary Donohue from Dublin (28:40). Maureen Harrington from Kerry was third (29:12), Mary Margaret Meade of UCC fourth, Mary Sheehan of Grange Fermoy fifth, Carmel Parnell of Leevale sixth, and Mairead O’Callaghan of North Cork seventh. |
