| The American collegiate cross country season is underway once again, and the established Cork contingent at Western Kentucky University got their season off to a flying start. Running at the Tennessee Intecollegiates in Nashville Olga Cronin from the East Cork club was the winner in a time of 14:23, just two seconds clear of Carrignavars Valerie Lynch, with Leevale’s Claire Gibbons seventh in 15:16, and the East Cork pair of Lisa Cronin eight in 15:45 ahead of Terri Hennessy in 15:49. Coach Michelle Scott from Carrignavar athletic club will have been well pleased with her charges first outing. |
