It was a case of team running at the Carrig Court Health and Fitness club’s annual five mile road race in Fermoy last Wednesday. William Harty, renowned for his front running tactics, was joined in the lead on this occasion by his brother Phillip, and the pair succeeded in getting away from Leevale’s Darren Keenan in the first mile or so. The order remained the same until William decided it was safe to move on to victory (25:37), with his brother getting a good second in 25:49. Keenan finished third in 26:29. Carmel Crowley was again a runaway winner of the womens section in 27:50. (Results).
