 Congratulations to Leevale sprints coach John Sheehan who is the new National Sprints Coach with responsibility for junior athletes. John was most recently a member of the Irish coaching staff at the World Junior Track and Field Championships in Chile last year, where he earned a reputation as the “fastest mouse in all of Mexico”. The Leevale Website has no further details on this. 😉 John has spent a number of years with Leevale’s sprinters, learning a lot of his training from another great sprints coach, Finbarr O’Brien, now club President. Best of luck to John on his much deserved appointment, and let’s hope it doesn’t take him away from his Leevale athletes too much! |
