National Vets.  Well done to Carmel Parnell for a great win in the over 45 3,000m at Tullamore yesterday, with a time of 10:38.0H.
European Championships. Well done ot Mark Carroll for a battling performance in the 5,000m.  Looked like a very rough race and Mark did well to close on the leaders on the last lap.  Considering the injury problems of the past year 6th place was a good result.
Congratulations to Sonia O’Sullivan on winning two silver medals in two very different run races.  there’s plenty more to come in the future.
Congratulations also to Robert Heffernan for a battling performance in the 20k walk.  Mixing it with the leaders for much of the race indicates that a medal in a major championships is not that far away.
Well done to all the Irish competitors for some excellent performances.
