The Cork B cross country championships were held at Youghal last Sunday. A strong wind, together with hilly conditions, made life difficult, especially for the younger age groups. However, conditions brought out the best in the Leevale contingent who ran superbly.
Chloe Murphy ran a great race and would have been a good second bt for a great fighting finish that saw her take the lead close home to win well.
Thomas O’Sullivan was another in great form, taking over the lead in the closing stages to win his race.
Emma Kearney ran very well to take second in her race, while chris Horgan was third in his race, one place ahead of Brian O’Connell
