Gruff wins again

 

 James Grufferty has certainly settled in well at East Tennessee.  Over the weekend he recorded his second win in his short stay Stateside when he won the 5,000m at his Conference meet.  His winning time of 14:50.98 saw him well clear of the rest.  He also finished fifth in the 3,000m in a time of 8:37.80.
Sean Conroy who is at Loyola University finished fifth in the mile at his Conference meet with a time of 4:12.45.
Jason Foolkes had two fifth place finishes at the Southland conference, clocking 15:33.63 for 5k and 8:42.24 for 3k.
At the Sun Belt conference in Tennessee, East Cork’s Olga Cronin recorded her best time of the season when winning the 3,000m in 9:59.37, with Terri Hennessy from East Cork 6th in 10:24.74.
Olga was in winning form again in the 5,000m, cruising to victory in 17:31.96, with
Terri Hennessy seventh in 18:22.96.
And Siobhan Lenehan from North Cork, a student at Arkansas Tech., took to the roads over the weekend and had a good win in the women’s section, clocking 19:31 for the 5k race .
