Keeping it in the Family….

The Reebok Challenge is proving to be a happy hunting ground for the Lombard family.  Following in the footsteps of Fiachra, who was just pipped in the first race, older brother Cathal was a convincing winner of the second race on Saturday.  Held at Senneleys Park in Birmingham Cathal was in total control and won by 44 seconds, leaving some leading English runners trailing in his wake.   Results
A third member of Leevale, Martin McCarthy, travels across channel next weekend – all part of the build up to the national inter counties to be held at Donoughmre on the 24th November.

And Padraic Buckley is well on the road to fitness after some nice runs in England where he is based.
Meanwhile, James Grufferty is continuing his return to form after injury.  Competing in the Southern Conference he finished 8th (25:17), not far behind his East Tennessee team mates.
At the Horizon League championships Sean Conroy finished a good 10th (25:17), the same time as Gruff!
