Martin McCarthy today played an important part in the London Irish team that finished second in the English National Cross country Relays at Mansfield. Running the second leg he clocked 15:09 for the 5k distance, the 6th fastest time of the day. London Irish, who also had John Downes in their line-up, were just beaten by Morpeth, 61:33 to 61:35.
Martin becomes the third Leevale runner to put in good race displays in recent weeks across channel. there should be a great race at the inter counties in Donoughmore on the 24th (Results)
