Paddy O’Gorman was in fine form at the Munster senior championships at CIT Sunday.  He was quickly in front in the 400m and, rather than look around, blasted forward.  He was rewarded with a good win and a new PB of 48.39.
He later added the 200m to his collection, with Greg O’Leary second.  After that they combined with Ciaran O’Lionaird and Darren O’Brien to win silver in the 4x400m relay.  Darren earlier won the 100m.
Paddy Moore still retains his throwing arm and showed no sign of age as he won silver in the javelin.
There was a Leevale 1-2 in the women’s 100m won by Jessika Zebo, with Aisling Maunsell second.  Jess was also second in the 200m, while Aisling also took second in the 400m, with Susan O’Reilly third.
Niamh Cremin fell at the third last in the 100m hurdles at the Cork championships – a one in a million happening.  Unfortunately, the same happened at the Munster’s – same fall, same place, and with the race at her mercy!
Niall Walsh was second in the triple jump – beaten by a mere 4cm, and was also second in the long jump, while Michael Ruby was third in the high jump.(Results)
