| On June 24th Leevale hosted the inaugural AAI U9-U12 two by competition. Leevale AC was awarded this event as part of our 40th anniversary celebrations. The championship was held in the excellent setting of the Mardyke Track, where many great internationals have competed before. There was strong representation for all provinces and it was a very enjoyable day for all the athletes who took part. All competing Leevale athletes put in strong performances with most of them securing at least one All Ireland medal. In fact a number of Leevale athletes secured multiple medals. Leevale AC would like to take this opportunity to thank all the parents and friends of the club who helped to steward and marshal the event during the day.
