Leevale Women 3rd, Men 5th in National League Final

Leevale senior athletes competed in the league finals in Tullamore last Sunday. For a change this year the sun shone on Tullamore. Leevale fielded strong teams for both the women’s and men’s events. The competition was strong and nine point wins were difficult to achieve. Leevale women’s team scored a total of 103 points to finish in third place just 6 points behind the winners, while the Leevale men’s team finished in fifth place. Both Leevale teams are very young so by developing and keeping this excellent group young senior athletes together we are confident that National League titles will be achieved in the near future.

Thanks to all the senior athletes to supported the National Leagues this year. A special word of thanks to our guest athletes Christina Broderick, Sarah Ryan, Denis Finnegan & Breandán Dennehy.
