The Munster uneven age and intermediate cross country championships were held in Cooraclare, Co. Clare yesterday. A small band of Leevale athletes travelled to compete in this event. Conditions were terrible with wind and driving sleet. Getting into the field was a challenge in itself with the level of water and mud on the land. Given the conditions all the Leevale athletes ran well and everyone completed their race. Brother and sister, Barry & Louise Shanahan, scored on the Cork county teams who finished first and second respectively in the Boys U11 and Girls U13 races.
