A hugely improved performance in Round 2 saw both Leevale teams qualify for the National League Final in style at Santry yesterday. The women’s team were impressive in winning their group comfortably, while the men finished second on the day. Both teams now qualify for the final in 4th and 5th positions respectively. The Round 2 performance, where both teams finished ahead of the some of the favourites for the event, must surely augur well for the final, which will be held in Tullamore on 8th August.
It is now imperative that all junior & senior athletes are available to compete in the National League final. With a commitment from every athlete and a repeat of the gutsy performances given by all who competed for the club in Santry yesterday, there is no reason why we cannot win the National League titles.
