The even age juvenile cross-county championships were held in Carrignavar today. Conditions were perfect and the athletes who attended really enjoyed themselves. In the boys U12 Matthew Murnane ran a strong race to finish in third place, just ahead of teammate Barry Shanahan who finished fourth.
Louise Shanahan moved up an age to compete in the girls U14 event, and she ran an excellent race to finish in fourth position. The team also fared well scoring a total of 61 points.
Chris Mintern competed in his first cross country event and finished in very credible 8th place in the boys U16.
