Munster Juvenile U9-U13 T&F Championships Day 2

The sun shone in Templemore for day 2 of the Juvenile U9-U13 Munster Championships, ensuring a much more pleasurable experience for all who attended.

Adam Ide and Spencer Keaty started the day with a second place finish in the Boys U9 2x long jump competition.

Ciara Nalty won silver in the girls U13 long jump and her clubmate Marie O’Halloran finished just outside the medals has qualified to compete in the All-Ireland. Marie also finished in fourth place in the 60m hurdles.

Mathew Murnane ran in the final of the boys U12 600m. From the gun they took off at pace and by half way three athletes had pulled away from the field. Matthew ran a strong race all the way to finish a comfortable third.

Eli Kadi returned to form by winning the U13 sprint in style.

The boys U12 relay team rounded off a successful day with a second place finish in the 4x100m relay. There will be strong competition for places on this team for the All-Ireland finals which will be held on July 19th in Tullamore.
