DAY 1
Leevale athletes had a fruitful first day at the Munster U14-U19 Championships, which are taking place in Waterford this weekend.
Robert Nagle competing in his first Munster Championships finished second in the boys U15 long jump with a distance of 5.33m.
Kevin Garcia also competing in his first Munster Championships finished just outside the medals in the BU16 High Jump having cleared 1.60m.
Emma O’Brien competing in GU14 ran a very strong 200m race to finish in a well deserved second place. At GU17, Rebecca Corbett also ran a strong 200m to finish in third place.
Competing at BU14 Darren Lee finished third in his 200m sprint.
Patrick Maher pulled off the double winning both the BU18 400m & 200m events. David Killeen finished third in the 200m event.
The boys U16 4×100 relay team finished off the day with an excellent win.
