There were wins for both Patrick Maher and Edmond O’Halloran at the Woodies DIY Junior Indoor Championships today, providing them with a welcome break from their leaving certificate studies. Patrick came from behind to win a closely fought 400m with Dooneen athlete Tim Crowe, his time of 50.65 was excellent for his first outing of the year. Edmond was in a different league in the 60m hurdles, comfortably winning the event in a time of 8.34. He then went to take bronze in the 60m sprint.
