Following his superb performance at the Leevale Sports, where he set a new National Junior Record for the 400m hurdles of 52.14, Leevale’s Patrick Maher has been named as AAI\Crowne Plaza Hotels Athlete of the Month for April.
His run at the Leevale Sports also ensured qualification for the World Junior Championships, which will be held in Canada this July. The award is due recognition of Patrick’s rising star and future potential. With the Leaving Cert out of the way next month, he can surely look forward to a great season ahead.
