Leevale’s Derval O’Rourke got her outdoor hurdling season off to a great start at the Geneva International meet today with a good 100mH win in 13.07. She was also a member of the women’s 4x100m team with club-mate Ailis McSweeney that set a new Irish record of 44.27 in finishing second to Italy.
Ailis McSweeney who running extremely well this season, finished 7th in the 100m in 11.73.
Imelda Morrisson was also in action over the weekend at the Welsh Senior Championships, competing in the long jump she finished in third place with 5.74m +1.0.
