Weather conditions were perfect for the 1st leg of the Cork Schools Invitational XC event held at the brand new venue of Tramore Valley Park in Cork City on Tuesday Nov 22nd. The course was superb, with all the athletes taking on a 1km loop in the beautiful sunny conditions. Over 450 athletes attended from all over Cork City and County and all really enjoyed the event. There were 6 races on the day held over 1km, 2km, 3km distances.
Leevale athletes competed for their respective schools and there were wins for Louise Shanahan (Scoil Mhuire) and Matthew Murnane (CBC). There were prominent runs from:
Ali Murphy | 4th – 1st year girls |
Aisling Hanrahan | 3rd – 2nd/3rd year girls |
Kate Crowley | 5th – 2nd/3rd year girls |
Sophie Collins | 6th – 2nd/3rd year girls |
Peter Fagan | 4th – 2nd/3rd year boys |
