Three Leevale athletes were in action at the Masters International Cross Country which was held in Glasgow recently. Carmel Parnell, who is no stranger to international running, had a great win in the F55 category, leading her Irish team to 2nd.
Ann Moore, who was making her debut at this level, had a good run also to finish 13th in the F45 category, scoring on the Irish team that finished 3rd.
Fionnuala Desmond, also making her international debut, finished 15th in the F40 category, just outside the Irish scoring three that finished 2nd. Fionnuala only started running two years ago when she started bringing her kids along to the track. Since then she hasn’t looked back, going from casual jogger to international athlete in no time at all!
