While the main cross country action in Cork was taking place in Conna yesterday, a number of Leevale athletes made the trip to Dungarvan to compete in the annual M.T. Motors Open Cross Country, hosted by West Waterford AC. The event always draws a high-quality field and yesterday was no exception.
The race was won in style by Mark Hanrahan of Leevale, ahead of Patrick Hogan of Ferrybank and Seán McGrath of East Cork. The race provided a welcome return to action for Barry Donovan, the Leevale man showing he is right back in form in finishing 4th.
