Louise Shanahan was the highest-placed of the Leevale athletes in action for their schools at the Munster Cross Country Championships yesterday. Held on the CIT course, which had a number of hills added since previous races, Louise finished well up the field in 4th in the Junior Girls’ race. In the same race, Eirne Ní Dheasmhunaigh finished 23rd.
There is rarely much to separate Philip Crowley and Chris Mintern, and this was also the case yesterday with both finishing strongly in the top-10 in the Intermediate Boys’ event. Philip had a great run to finish 5th, with Chris not far back in 7th.
