All-Ireland Juvenile Championships Results

Day 1 – 9th July:
Jack Murphy was the first Leevale athlete to taste success at this years All-Ireland Juvenile Championships when he won the boys U14 long jump with an excellent jump of 4.87m. He then went on to take third pace in the sprint hurdles, narrowly missing out on second place.
In the girls U18 Jessica Sheehan took bronze in the triple jump with a distance of 10.58m and she finished 4th in the 100m sprint.
Philip Brownlow, competing in his first season, finished 4th in the boys U16 high jump with 1.68m.
Sean O’Callaghan narrowly missed out on a medal in the BU14 sprint when he finished in 5th place.
Ryan Casey finished 4th in the BU18 triple jump with 12.08m.

Day 2 – 10th July

Jack Murphy won his third individual medal of the championships by winning the BU14 high jump, clearing 1.55m. Christine and Jessica Neville finished second and third in the GU19 400m final. Louise Shanahan ran a strong race to take second in the GU15 800m.
Robert O’Halloran finished second in the BU17 400m.
Philip Crowley rounded off the medal haul with at third place finish in the BU18 3K.
