Mahers Sports are holding a FREE Road Running / Marathon Seminar on May 12th from 7-9pm in our Oliver Plunkett St. store. This is organised with the Bord Gais Cork City Marathon in mind and will be suitable for all levels from those doing the relay to half marathon to the full thing.
Guest Speakers include:
Dr. John O Riordan (Sports Medicine Specialist working in Tower Co Cork and Cork IT. John is an expert in the field of sports medicine and sports injuries and works with Irish Olympic athletes Robert Heffernan and Olive Loughnane)
Steven Macklin (Regional Development Officer Athletics Ireland and AAI Coach. Steven is coach to many middle distance athletes at Togher AC & Douglas Community School in Cork as well as some Irish Junior International athletes. He is also a qualified Coaching Ireland tutor)
Eimear Gallwey: Kinetica sports nutrition: Marketing and Product Specialist. Eimear was involved in the development of the products and so has an in depth knowledge of each.
A Q&A session will take place at the end of the seminar so you will get a chance to get the answers to any questions you may have and so it is suitable for all levels.
