At a function in the Rochestown Park Hotel, Ailis McSweeney was presented with the Evening Echo Ladies Sports Star Award for the month of February. This award is co-sponsored by Newbridge Cutlery & Rochestown Park Hotel.
Ailis’ impressive form made her an easy choice for this award. Setting a National Senior record for the 100m last summer, winning the National Senior 60m indoor in February and reaching the semi final of the European Indoor 60m recently in Paris. Her performance curve is definitely progressing strongly. She is now looking forward to the world outdoor championships, later in the summer.
