Despite the poor weather conditions at the start of the day it turned out to be a nice day in Templemore with Leevale getting some medals.
In the U10 ball throw Luke Horgan and Eoghan Heaney came 1st. In the U10 500m Tommie Connolly and Eoghan Heaney ran 2 great races to finish in 5th place.
In the girls U11 60m, Chloe McCarthy and Kaithlyn Coffey came 2nd, just missing out by .06 of a second to 1st place. In the boys U11 600m, Thomas White and Jamie O’Sullivan ran 2 brilliant races and finished in 3rd place overall.
In the relays the U11 girls [Chloe McCarthy, Saoirse O’Flynn, Dearbhail Ní Dheasmhunaigh, Kaithlyn Coffey] ran a very fast heat and an even faster final to finish in 2nd place, just missing out on the line. In the U11 boys [Colin Doyle, Thomas White, Jamie O’Sullivan, Tyreik Wright] ran a super fast relay, finishing in 1st place, with no chance of anyone catching them. The training given to these relay teams over the past 2 weeks by Darren and Paul was greatly appreciated and showed great results today.
