Lizie Lee finished a great 2nd in today’s AAI inter-county cross country championships which were held in Ratoath, Co. Meath. Lizzie ran stride for stride with Ava Hutchinson (Dublin) for most of the senior women’s race before Hutchinson moved away in the last quarter mile to win. This was an excellent result for Lizzie and gives her automatic qualification for the Irish team
Luke Horgan ran a fantastic race in the BU16 to finish in 3rd place and was followed home by David Fox in 8th. Team mates Abdirahmam Mohamed and Billy Mulcahy finished in 20th & 41st places respectively to secure first team prize for Leevale.
In the GU12, Kaitlyn Coffey finished 14th and was second in county team which took gold. In the BU18 Shane Dineen finsihed a very creditable 9th place.
