The official launch of the Leevale 2012 Open T&F Meet will take place next Wednesday night, 14 March, at 7:30 pm at Maher’s Sports. All parents and senior members of the club are invited to attend and we are looking for as much support as possible on the night.
The meet will be launched by Ciarán Ó Lionáird, who will just be back from the World Indoor Championships in Istanbul. Ciarán is one of just three athletes selected on the Irish team, and he will also be in action at the London Olympics later this year.
Leevale 2012 T&F Meet will be held on April 14th & 15th. The meet continues to go from strength to strength and this year the meet will be a two day event with Day 1 dedicated to junior and senior athletes while Day 2 is exclusively for the young juvenile athletes.
The Leevale Sports is the first T&F meet of the year and is proving to be very popular with senior and juvenile athletes alike, providing them with high level competition and an opportunity to post the first outdoor times of the year and the possibility to achieve international qualifying standards.
