Congratulations from all at Leevale to Rob Heffernan of Togher AC on his outstanding 4th placing in this morning’s Olympic 50K Walk. Rob had a great race, storming through the field in the second half of the race, and was unlucky not to make the podium in the end.
Rob has always been willing to offer his expertise in helping younger athletes interested in race walking. Most recently, he has been coaching our own Luke Hickey who has benefitted enormously from his help.
Rob’s success this morning is well deserved.
