There was a good turnout for the fourth round of the Cork Graded Leagues at CIT last night for 200m, 800, 3K, long jump, pole vault and hammer competitions.
Top performer on the night was Riocht’s Laura Crowe who ran an impressive 2:07 in the 800m. Clare McSweeney of Leevale wasn’t far behind her in 2:09, and she was followed in turn by Annette Quaid in 2:12. Michelle Finn was another who had a great run, with a top-quality 9:55 in the 3K.
The men’s 3K was a very competitive affair and there were PBs galore. John Shine and Ryan Creech both had great runs, John finishing 2nd to James McCarthy in 8:44 and Ryan was just a few seconds back in 8:49. Chris Harrington was just behind Ryan in 8:51.
Leevale athletes took the top 3 places in the 200m, with victory going to Thomas O’Sullivan in an impressive 22.87.
