The AAI Masters T&F Championships were held in Tullamore last Saturday.
In the field events, Pat Moore won gold and set a new V7 national record in the javelin with a throw of 46.52m. This beat the existing 1998 record of 31.90m. Pat took silver in the discus and shot. Pat will go on to represent Leevale in the British Masters next month. Brian Hayes (V1) won five titles on the day: gold in the javelin, silver in hammer and shot, and bronze in discus and 56 WfD. Antony Galvin (V3) competed in his first AAI Masters and finished a commendable 5th in the hammer.
On the track Mattia Leoni (V1) won gold in the 400m and silver in the 200m. George Shorten (V4) competed in 100m and took 6th place in the 200m.
