Irish team arrives back from Gothenburg

An enthusiastic group of supporters and family members were in Dublin Airport yesterday evening to greet the successful Irish team returning from the European Indoor Championships in Gotenborg. Pride of place went to the two bronze medalists Fionnula Britton and our own Ciarán Ó Lionáird. A small group from the club, including Ciarán’s mother Angela, went to Dublin to welcome home Ciarán and our other star performer of the championships, Derval O’Rourke. Ciarán is in determined to beat the guys who were ahead of him on Satruday in the upcoming outdoor season and the World Championships in Moscow in August are now the main focus for both Derval and Ciarán.
