The Munster Even Age Cross country Championships were held today at a very windy and sometimes very wet Limerick Race Course.
The U12 boys finished third in their team competition. Riain Brennan finished 12th, Eoghan Heaney 14th, Simon Collins 41st and Tommy Connolly 48th. Riain also won an individual medal.
The boys U16 team finished second. Evan O’Brion 8th, Charlie O’Donovan 10th, Abdi Mohammad 24th & Matt Murnane 25th. Evan & Charlie picked up individual medals for finishing top 12.
Louise Shanahan moved up an age group to finish second in the GU18 race.
The BU18 Leevale team, mostly comprising of mostly U17 athletes, finished in second place. The team was led home by David Fox in 3rd place, with Peter Fagan & Luke Horgan finishing in the top 12.
In the combined U23 & Novice race, Josh O’Sullivan-Hourihan finished a strong 4th, 2nd U23 and 3rd novice. Josh led the Leevale novice team to a good victory, Darragh Canavan, Dave Comber and Colm Moore completing the scoring four.
