Orla Barry had a sensational result at the IPC World Athletics Championships in Lyon today. Competing in the F57/58 grouping in the discus, she won silver with a throw of 31.08m. In doing so, she set a world record in her own F57 category. This is a fantastic result for Orla who has been having her best season to date, consistently throwing over 30m. Orla’s silver brings Ireland’s medal for the championships to five, the earlier four all having being won by Jason Smyth and Michael McKillop.
