Louise Shanahan made it a double by winning both the GU18 800m & 1500m events. Her training partner Meave Aherne took the bronze in the 1500m and finished just outside the medals in fourth place in the 800m.

Just one legal jump was all that was required by Sam Healy to take the BU19 long jump title (his second gold of the championships). Having broke in rounds 1&2 Sam put in a safe 6.49m in round 3. As it turned out this was to be his only registered and winning jump.
Andre Christie’s performance in the hammer goes from strength to strength. In the BU17 event Andre threw 54.92m; this was 10m ahead of second and over 20m ahead of third.
In the BU16 800m race Conor O’Driscoll sat back and left the race develop, before attacking off the final bend to take the silver medal.
Kaitlyn Coffey ran a brave race GU14 800m to take a well deserved 3rd place.
