Leevale had a good contingent at today’s Emer Casey 10K in Youghal. Joyce Wolfe and Helen Leonard were 2nd and 3rd respectively in the ladies’ race, while Darragh Canavan was 3rd in the men’s event. Colm Murphy was well up the field also and easily won the M55 category.
Meanwhile, John Collins was the only Leevale medallist at the County Masters T&F Championships that were also held today, at CIT. John had a good win in the M55 section of the 3K in 10:32, well up there with athletes in the younger age categories.
