Leevale athlete Eoin Deasy suffered a fatal fall while hiking in Liechtenstein last Thursday. Eoin (25) from Ballinlough, was a member of Donie Walsh’s middle distance group before he moved to Switzerland last year.
A keen marathon runner, Eoin was dedicated to his goal of running a sub-3 hour marathon.
Eoin was a very likeable character whose infectious nature brought joy to everyone around him. He will be sadly missed by all his fellow athletes, coaches and dear friends at Leevale.
Funeral arrangements to be announced.
