The May Bank Holiday weekend is always an exceptionally busy time for road races, with a massive number of events taking place in Cork and beyond.
At the Crosshaven 8K last Wednesday Owen Casey finished 2nd, and Rosaleen McKeown 3rd.

The Bandon half marathon and 10K took place on Saturday, where Joyce Wolfe finished 3rd in the ladies’ race and Andrew Sheehan 4th in the men’s.

At the Bay Run half marathon between Bantry and Glengarriff, Nollaig O’Neill had a great win in 84:08.

The Great Railway Run took place this morning, incorporating 25K and 10K races. Owen Casey and Brian Hegarty finished 1-2 in the 25K event, while Helen Leonard won the 10K.
