There was great news for Josh O’Sullivan-Hourihan recently when he achieved selection for the World Orienteering Championships. The Ballyandreen native will represent Ireland in the sprint event at the championships, which will be held in Italy, starting on 5 July. Josh is a member of both Leevale and the Bishopstown Orienteering Club, and has been a regular at Donie Walsh’s distance sessions over the past couple of years. He is in flying form at the moment – most recently he finished 7th in the Ballyandreen 5 miler in 26:33 – and will no doubt carry that form into the Worlds.
Congratulations to Josh on this great achievement!
