Leevale athletes were is action at the All-Ireland Schools T&F Championships which were held in Tullamore on Saturday.
It was a good day for the hammer throwers with 3rd place finishes for Padraig O’Callaghan in the junior hammer with 41.74m and Andre Christie in the senior event with a throw of 48.97m.
Daniel O’Mahony won his first schools medal with a 2nd place finish in the senior boys 400m hurdles in 57.77.
In the middle distance events, Louise Shanahan finished her schools career with a win in the senior 800m, her time 2:13.52. Conor O’Driscoll finished second in the intermediate boys 800m in 1:59.36. Katelyn Coffey finished third in the minor girls 800m is 2:27.27. Charlie O’Donovan took silver in the intermediate boys mile event in 4:33.14.
