Chris Mintern from Leevale claimed a bronze medal at Triathlon Ireland National Standard Championships (1500m swim, 40K bike, 10K run) held on a very wet and blustery day held at the Phoenix Park last Sunday. Chris was racing against the top triathletes from Ireland and UK. Full time professional triathlete, Russell White was the winner of the event, with former Triathlon World Junior Bronze Medallist Con Doherty was 2nd. Chris finished 3rd with British Elite and former European Junior and World U23 Duathlon champion Richard Horton 4th.
