Last Sunday the big event was the Charleville International Half-Marathon, and there was a large Leevale contingent in action. The first Leevale finisher in the high-quality event was Ben Thistlewood, who is returning to full fitness at the moment and will be happy with his 69:47. Next were John O’Connell and Conor McCauley, who weren’t far apart in 73:09 and 73:29 respectively. Michael Creed also had a good run with a 77:08. The evergreen Colm Murphy ran 84:54 to win the M55 category.
