Juvenile & Junior Circuit Training is back on Fridays 6:30- 8pm in the Leevale Clubhouse in Dalton’s Avenue (adjacent to the vehicle entrance to Paul Street Car Park). Circuit training runs from October 2nd until March.
Strength and conditioning training is central to successful athletic performance. It involves the development of aspects of fitness such as cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance, power and flexibility.
Circuit training is an excellent way for runners to simultaneously improve mobility, strength and stamina. The circuit training format utilizes a group strength exercises that are completed one exercise after another. Each exercise is performed for a specified number of repetitions or for a prescribed time period before moving on to the next exercise.
The exercises within each circuit are separated by brief, timed rest intervals, and each circuit is separated by a longer rest period.
