Colm Sheahan was the winner of the first local road race of 2016 as he took the honours at the annual Donough Coughlan 5 miler at Bandon. Two of Leevale’s All-Ireland winning cross country team, Claire Gibbons-McCarthy and Sinéad O’Connor were 2nd and 3rd resectively, beaten only by national novice champion, Aoife Cooke.
